DeVos Place will welcome visitors during ArtPrize Preview Week, September 12–17, offering the community an opportunity to experience the creativity taking place across downtown Grand Rapids before the official competition begins. Preview Week will kick off with an opening reception on Friday, September 11 from 5:00PM–8:00PM in the DeVos Place Skywalk, free and open to the public.
As one of the participating venues for Preview Week, DeVos Place will be part of the citywide celebration that gives local residents and early visitors an intimate look at the 2026 ArtPrize installations. The six-day Preview Week takes place before voting opens on September 18, allowing guests to explore artwork throughout downtown ahead of the larger crowds expected during the competition, which organizers anticipate will surpass the 900,000 visitors welcomed in 2025.
This year’s competition will expand to 22 days as it revives Preview Week, and includes four themed weekends highlighting visual art, dance, music and fashion. Hundreds of installations will be displayed throughout downtown Grand Rapids in parks, museums, storefronts, bars, bridges and other venues. DeVos Place is set to host 53 installations throughout the venue.
DeVos Place is located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, making it a convenient stop for those exploring ArtPrize installations throughout the city. Visitors can incorporate DeVos Place into their Preview Week itinerary while experiencing the many restaurants, businesses, cultural attractions and other participating venues located throughout downtown.
ArtPrize Preview Week runs September 12–17, followed by the official competition happening September 18–October 3. DeVos Place will be open to the public every day, please see the daily hours below. Additional installations will be available for viewing at any time outside at Lyon Square, Van Andel Arena and Acrisure Amphitheater. The event is free and open to the public, with winners determined in part through public voting.
