The West Michigan Sports Commission Annual Dinner: An Evening with Jack Nicklaus will be held on September 28, 2020 at DeVos Place.
Join us as we enjoy Jack's stories over dinner and have a live auction all to raise money for charity. Proceeds go to the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation, American Dunes (a Folds of Honor golf course), and the West Michigan Sports Commission.
Jack Nicklaus, the champion, the course designer, the philanthropist, and the good-will ambassador - no single person has changed the face of golf more than him. Jack's competitive career spanned six decades, and his legend has been built with 120 professional tournament victories worldwide and a record 18 professional major-championship titles (six Masters, five PGA Championships, four U.S. Opens, three British Opens). Nicknamed, the Golden Bear, he has also received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Congressional Gold Medal, and the Lincoln Medal, in addition to a plethora of additional honors, titles, and awards.
Jack and his wife Barbara have a long history of involvement in numerous charitable activities, from junior golf to children's hospitals to several scholarship foundations, raising well over $100 million dollars through the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation.
The West Michigan Sports Commission fosters economic development by attracting sporting events which improve our citizens' quality of life and elevate the brand of Grand Rapids. The WMSC is a charitable organization 501(c)3.
